Develor expands

Develor is the number one training and consulting company in the central and eastern European region. Having conquered the Hungarian market, the company has been founding an array of firms in the neighbouring countries in the past 15 years, now operating in 12 countries altogether as a crucial player in the local markets. Develor is the ideal partner for companies seeking a professional training, sales, HR consulting or coaching partner, and their prime considerations are professional quality, improving corporate performance and extending customer relations.

Since its foundation in 1992, Develor has undergone a number of changes, and, although it has always been among the leading training companies ever since established, the real breakthrough came with the changes in 1998, when the company was reorganised, the majority of the staff replaced, and a new corporate philosophy was adopted. It was set as a professional criterion that only trainers and consultants with hands-on business experience were to be employed, i.e. not only ones with theoretical expertise. The company was consciously built, functions separated, and great emphasis was placed on product development, as well as on sales and marketing activities. The changes bore fruit by 2002, when the company came to lead the market. Regional expansion commenced in 2002, which resulted in a presence in six countries today – the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania, Bulgaria, Slovenia and Poland. In the past seven years, the number of customers increased to five-fold, and the sales revenue exceeded HUF 1 billion in 2006. In 2007, over 40 trainers, coaches and consultants have been available to serve regional customers.

The most recent regional company of Develor is Develor Poland, which held its official opening ceremony on 13 June 2007 in Warsaw. The event was opened by the European CEO  Zsolt Pozvai.

The other way of expansion was to establish strategic partnerships, whereby Develor representations are operated in Switzerland, South Africa and Egypt, too. Owing to the OTP project, today Develor holds training courses in Russia and Bulgaria, which concerns yet another Develor company launched in Bulgaria in September.

Since 2003, the company has offered an increasing volume of consulting services in addition to the training companies, the two key areas being HR consulting and the development of the sales system and a methodology. The other two business lines include currently fashionable coaching, where Develor has also become the leading representative, as well as the organisation of business events.

The principal corporate objective is to reinforce its market leader position. For this reason, the company intends to be the most innovative representative in the training and consulting market. In this spirit, Develor has deployed innovative methods and services, such as the new strategic planning inventory termed Blue Ocean Strategy, the Poker based decision-making training aimed at developing the consciousness in decisions using games of poker, the Stress Management and Stress Releasing training courses, which adopt a new approach, and the MasterShiftManager program, which fully reforms the training of junior managers.

The company employs a staff of 70, of which 40 are qualified trainers, consultants or coaches.
